The Love the Mediterranean project has been awarded the Redeia Award for the best initiative in social and sustainability matters at the IX Timón Awards gala, organized by Gaceta Náutica.
The event took place last Friday at the Port Center in the port of Palma, and brought together more than 200 representatives of the maritime and recreational and sports nautical sector of the Balearic Islands.
The ceremony, presented by the journalist Cristina Roig, was attended by the president of the Government, Marga Prohens, who highlighted her support for the Balearic nautical sector. During his speech, the president of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands, Javier Sanz, underlined the importance of these awards by stating that "these consolidated awards make visible the achievements of this year's most outstanding athletes and promote the initiatives that have contributed to improving the world of nautical in our community".
An award that reflects our purpose
This recognition not only highlights our marine conservation actions and environmental education programs, but also the collective effort to regenerate and protect a Mediterranean that inspires and unites all of us who are part of this mission.
Our CSR and corporate communications manager, Carlota Ortega, had the honor of receiving the award on behalf of Love the Mediterranean and TrueWorld Organization, an achievement that highlights the efforts of joint work with our allies, collaborators and the local community.
The Mediterranean as an engine of change
The event also served to reward other outstanding personalities and institutions, such as Nacho Baltasar (Sailing), Adrián Castaño (Canoeing) and the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard (Institution), among others. The diversity of winners reflects the richness of the nautical sector and its commitment to sustainability, innovation and social development in the Balearic Islands.
This award encourages us to continue working with passion and dedication, reaffirming our commitment to a living and sustainable Mediterranean for future generations.
We deeply appreciate this recognition, which belongs to all those who believe in our vision and accompany us on this path.
