Unfortunately, marine life is being threatened by the climate crisis, acidification, pollution, and invasive species, and needs urgent protection. Our time to make a difference is narrowing, and it's imperative that we act immediately to restore the bond between humanity and nature. We can achieve this through actions grounded in scientific research and supported by cutting-edge technologies.
Through our program, we strive to contribute ethically, sustainably, and responsibly to our Balearic community and to the protection of our natural surroundings, thus giving back to the Mediterranean what we take from it.
Sobre el Galaxie
El Galaxie es un velero clásico reconvertido en una plataforma de investigación, educación y acción climática de cero emisiones. Su transformación ha sido un ejemplo de economía circular aplicada a la navegación: de embarcación varada y olvidada, ha pasado a ser un símbolo de esperanza restaurada, equipado con tecnología sostenible y propulsión limpia.
Hoy navega por el Mediterráneo como laboratorio flotante, aula itinerante y hogar temporal para científicxs, estudiantes, artistas y defensorxs del mar, al servicio de una misión clara: proteger los ecosistemas marinos y conectar a las personas con el valor profundo de nuestro entorno natural.
Sobre el Stenella
El "Stenella" es un barco eléctrico solar que funciona como una estación marítima itinerante para monitorear la biodiversidad marina y la calidad del agua en las Islas Baleares. Este proyecto, impulsado por TrueWorld Organization, también se utiliza para fines educativos y de divulgación sobre cambio climático y sostenibilidad, especialmente durante eventos náuticos como la Copa del Rey Mapfre y el Trofeo S.A.R. Princesa Sofía.
