Training - Recovery and Maintenance Tasks

We took the opportunity to provide students enrolled in the ‘Initial Qualifications Program’ or Programes de Qualificació Inicial (PQI), -particularly those from the 'Auxiliary Maintenance and Coating of Nautical Vessels in Alcudia' course- the chance to apply their learning practically by undertaking refurbishment tasks on the Galaxie sailboat during its restoration. 

This initiative is designed to foster hands-on learning experiences, uncovering talent and leading to internships that broaden their career prospects in the nautical industry. Such tasks require a professional qualification that ensures comprehensive training and certification. 

A significant focus of this program is to aid students from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them an educational pathway for integration into the workforce.
