About the event

The climate change station is installed on the Stenella, a zero-emission solar-electric vessel that contributes to the scientific campaign during the regatta. This year, the regatta continues its real-time monitoring of the Bay of Palma, analyzing the environmental impacts during the 42nd Copa del Rey Mapfre. At the end of the regatta, the data collected will be compared with that of previous editions to obtain a comprehensive view of the state of the bay. Various monitoring instruments are deployed on board the Stenella, including an autonomous air quality station and environmental sensors that collect data on pollutants, particulate matter, and CO2 emissions, as well as a meteorological data station.

Additionally, a multiparameter sonar, acoustic recording equipment, a marine drone with a sonar, a robot for high-detail image recording, a plotter for automated cartography creation, a cleaning robot, and a trawler for microplastic sampling are being used. These data are analyzed…
