Alongside the 52nd Trofeo Princesa Sofia regatta the "Love the Mediterranean" educational day was held in Arenal. This event, in collaboration with Cleanwave Foundation, Palma Aquarium, and Mar de Fondo, drew around 50 youngsters to the beach near the Arenal Nautical Club for workshops focusing on biodiversity protection, maritime sports, and understanding the impact of microplastics on the environment.
Participants from the local community, Luis Vives School, and Hadas Foundation deepened their understanding of marine life and emergency care for marine fauna. They also gained skills in identifying and categorizing sand pollutants. Moreover, they enjoyed the unique opportunity to observe the regatta, learning about the various competing boats and their categories.
